NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD - SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: The Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training, and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) has a requirement to procure LifePak 20e Code Management Module Training Kit for the Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Simulation Learning, Education and Research Network (SimLEARN) and Resuscitation Education Initiative (REdI) Program. The anticipated requirement North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 339113 - Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing. It is anticipated that the contract type will be a single award Firm Fixed Price (FFP).


ACQUISITION APPROACH: PM MedSim intends to make an award to Physio-Control Inc, 1811 Willows Rd, Redmond, VA 98052. This contract will be issued on a Sole Source basis In Accordance With (IAW) FAR 6.302-1, quote mark Only one awardee is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality needed because the supplies or services ordered are unique and highly specialized. quote mark
QUANTITIES: This requirement is to purchase the following items:

LifePAK 20E Defibrillator Code Management Module- Wireless & Capnography
Carry Case for LIFEPAK 20E Defibrillator with Module
Filter Line Adult/Pediatric (Box of 25)
Smart Capnoline Plus- Adult/Intermediate patients greater than 44lbs.


NOTICE: This notice is being provided to verify that no other sources can meet this requirement given the time required to meet the current need for this effort.
