The government is issuing this Request For Information (RFI) as part of a market survey for a training solution that provides Marine Corps Security Guard (MSG) Detachments around the world a non-live fire marksmanship training system. PMTRASYS plans to acquire a man portable, user friendly, digital based, interactive training system, that realistically replicates the firing capabilities of small arms weapons as a Non-Developmental Item (NDI) acquisition. This system must be able to train and sustain MSG marksmanship skills with the M9 Beretta Service Pistol, the M16A4 Service Rifle, M870 Remington (military) Shotgun, and as an option the Joint Service Combat Shotgun.
As part of this RFI, the Marine Corps System Command, Program Manager for Training Systems (PMTRASYS), releases a DRAFT Statement of Objectives and DRAFT Systems Requirements Document for industry comment. The vendor should supply comments to the documents indicating ability to meet specified requirements, ability to commence product deliveries six months after award, specific items requiring clarification for responsive industry proposal, and specified requirements which un-necessarily drive system procurement or lifecycle cost. Received comments will be considered by the Government for basis of modification to the subject documents. Comments will not be directly responded to but may be addressed collectively at a future date during or prior to solicitation. This documents and all future documents are available for download from the PM TRASYS website, Business Opportunities Division at: http://www.marcorsyscom.usmc.mil/trasys/
