The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to issue a sole source firm fixed price contract to Tetracore, Inc. for 1000mg of Ricin Monoclonal antibodies and 1000mg of Rabbit anti-SEB antibodies. The Laboratory Response Network (LRN) Bioplex Multiplex Immunological Assay contains highly specific antibodies that have been optimized for the detection of unique bacterial, viral, or toxin agents. The above antibodies have been validated via testing conducted at other state and federal laboratories to ensure optimum reproducibility of test results. Tetracore has been identified as a sole source supplier of these unique antibodies. Justification: Supplies required are available from only one responsible source and no other types of supplies will satisfy agency requirements.
