***THIS SYNOPSIS IS BEING AMENDED TO ADD THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION: Any formulator who will be providing an offer for this Light Brown Apple Moth (LBAM) solicitation will need to provide a sample of their formulated product to the laboratory listed below for a toxicology study. Only light brown apple moth formulations will be accepted and tested. Note, samples need to be received at the laboratory by March 24, 2008 in order for tests to be completed within the required timeframe. The USDA, APHIS is required to have these toxicology studies performed on the LBAM formulations to support USDA?s determination that aerial treatments over residential areas using the pheromone products are safe. The following six toxicology studies will be conducted on each LBAM product received: Acute oral toxicity, primary eye irritation, acute inhalation toxicity, acute dermal toxicity, primary skin irritation, and a local lymph node assay. The USDA, APHIS will be paying for each of the tests. A firm fixed price commercial supply contract is anticipated for this procurement. The contract will include a base year with the option to extend the contract for an additional two (2) years.
