This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This procurement is being issued as a request for quotation. Submit offers on RML-RFQ-4045. The solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-24 dated 06/18/04. This acquisition will be processed under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 325414 and the small business size is 500 employees.The Rocky Mountain Laboratories (RML) has a requirement for Sequence and Annotation Files for five composite bacterial genomes according to the following specifications: Two files total, per composite genome shall be constructed, one in fasta format, one in annotation format. Fasta files of Open Reading Frames (ORFs) shall be in DNA sequence format and annotation files for those same ORFs shall be in tab-delimited format with column headers. Unique identifiers for all ORFs present in the RML ERGO server shall be incorporated into the annotation files for all orfs. The files shall be compatible with Affymetrix design format requirements. Deliverables: The Contractor shall provide weekly progress reports to the RML Project Officer and Affymetrix Project Director to ensure compliance with design requirements; final deliverable shall be the two files per composite genome as specified above. Delivery shall be approximately 10 weeks after receipt of Government furnished materials. FOB Point shall be Destination, Hamilton, MT. Delivery location is Rocky Mountain Laboratories, 903 S. 4th Street, Hamilton, MT.
