Sources Sought. The Government intends to acquire custom antibiotic susceptibility panels for the National Ocean Service (NOS) in Charleston, SC. The minimum requirement is for 3,760 custom Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) antibiotic susceptibility panels plus Inoculator-D seed trays and waters/diluents for use with each panel. The panels include a list of various antibiotics and concentrations. The Government intends to award on a sole source basis to Dade Behring, Deerfield, Illinois. Dade Behring is the only know company who has the capability to manufacture the required panels. Any other business capable of providing the panels referenced herein is encouraged to respond to this announcement within 10 days after its publication. Interested firms should submit in writing its name, address, point of contact, telephone number, business size and a brief statement regarding its capability to provide the item, and the name, telephone number and point of contact for businesses or other Government agencies to which it has previously provided the item. No response will be given to companies that do not provide all the requested information. This is not a request for proposals, and no solicitation is available. The Government reserves the right to solicit bids based on receipt of affirmative responses to this notice or issue an order to Dade Behring, whichever is determined to be more advantageous to the Government without further notice.
