00HCTBDH-2007-42671 The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award, on a sole source basis, a purchase order to Cerilliant Corporation, 811 Paloma Drive, Suite A, Round Rock, Texas 78664-2402. A purchase order will be issued for custom synthesis of analytical chemical packs required for the chemical terrorism preparedness and emergency response program. Cerilliant manufactures these chemical response packs specifically for the CDC to ensure the efficacy of on going human exposure studies being conducted by the CDC for the analysis of organophosphate nerve agent metabolites, sulfur mustard metabolites, and ricinine / arbine. Justification for other than full and open competition is considered due to the continued need to match existing products for on-going human subject exposure research being conducted by the CDC, National Center for Environmental Health. Failure to procure existing materials in purities and batch lots currently offered by Cerilliant Corporation will alter or contaminate assays required for on-going research being conducted by the CDC. This is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. Firms that believe they can provide the following quantities of the Cerillant manufactured chemical response packs by predetermined lot numbers and specified purity are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 15 days of the publication date of this synopsis:
