The National Ground Intelligence Center (NGIC) intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to Surface Optics Corporation (SOC), 11555 Rancho Bernado Road, San Diego, CA, 92127 for a Real-Time Midwave Infrared (MWIR) Hyperspectral Imaging (HSI) camera. SOC is the sole provider and distributor of the MWIR HSI High Radiance Configuration camera (Product Number: 0750-0003).

This requirement is conducted under FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the requirement. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement.

Description of Requirement: Real-time Midwave Infrared Hyperspectral Imaging camera with coverage from 2 to 5 microns, 256x240 image, 11Hz, 42 band system, InSb FPA, 50 mm lens and 100mm lens, integrated calibration source, ability to use external calibration sources, Hard-Shell padded shipping/carrying case, computer workstation with MIDIS hyperspectral image processor, Camera Link and USB interfaces, heavy-duty tripod for field or lab use, HS Analysis Toolkit software, complete spectral and calibration. This notice of intent is NOT a request for quotes. However, all quotes received within three (3) calendar days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
