NASA/GSFC has a requirement for a 32x32 Gm-APD sensor chip assembly (SCA). NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from Spectrolab, Inc. Spectrolabs unique product offering such as focal plane array with single photon sensitivity fast frame rate (>10kHz) and 100% compatible with various camera accessories and computer hardware that are absolutely necessary to operate our GSFC-owned camera and the 2nd Generation GM-APD. NASA GSFC is unaware of another company that can offer a product that is 100% compatible with the senor that we are currently using. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing by email to [email protected] not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on June 14, 2013. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
