Contracting at the Miami VA Medical Center is seeking sources capable of providing radiation dosimetry badges/service for individuals at the Miami VA Medical Center. The awardee will supply, process, evaluate, package, and ship dosimeters, as well as maintain records for dosimeter exposures, and supply necessary exposure reports, which meet applicable regulatory requirements. The following laws and regulations apply: 10 CFR 20, 10 CFR 35, and 29 CFR 1910.1096.
Awardee must hold current dosimetry accreditation from the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in all applicable categories and be approved for the types of radiation included in the NVLAP program that most closely approximate the types of radiation for which the individuals are monitored.
Awardee must maintain an in-house quality assurance program, have adequate past performance as a dosimetry processor (to be fully defined in future request for quotes), and possess a satisfactory performance record with the NVLAP and NIST in all eight categories.
