The Department of Veterans Affairs, Oklahoma City VAMC intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, with Protein Simple through their supplier Government Scientific Source for the Protein Simple ELLA Automated Immunoassay System. Investigators at the Oklahoma City VA Research Service are conducting research dealing with protein validation studies of single cell organisms and the quantitation of the endogenous protein expression of genes that escape X inactivation in specific immune cell populations. Due to existing proprietary system compatibility and data continuity, the ELLA Automated Immunoassay System is necessary to integrate with the Protein Simple Jess System, Milo System, and Peggy Sue System, which are currently being used by the research facility. Protein Simple is the manufacturer and sole distributor of the ELLA Automated Immunoassay System. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement and who is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), authorized dealer, authorized distributor or authorized reseller of all the items listed above, may submit a capability statement to the contracting office no later than Thursday, September 17th, 4:00, EDT.
