Pre-Solicitation Notice to solicit for a contractor to provide an Amersham Typhoon Gel and Blot Imaging System to the VA Connecticut VA Medical System. This is not a solicitation. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to solicit for a Firm Fixed Priced Purchase Order (PO). The National Center for PTSD Clinical Neurosciences Division s research program is expanding and requires the following piece of equipment in order to meet the needs of the research program. The Amersham Typhoon Gel and Blot Imaging System is required in order to image and precisely quantitate fluorescent, colorimetric, and radiolabeled proteins and nucleic acids. This model allows the user to program multiple functionalities which creates versatility in the machine.
Typhoon 5 Biomedical Imager
The Typhoon 5 is used with DNA, RNA and protein applications using multi-modality imaging of gels, membranes, multi-well plates, dishes, and tissue sections.
