NASA/DFRC has a requirement for three (3) each VGM/G3, SBC/VGM5-S546ES-CSNBS1F6, three (3) each PU32, DBd/PU32-04S1FF, three (3) each PEX3, DBd/PEX3-S500S1FN, one (1) each SOF/VxWk/V7xCur, Code 6060, one (1) each Sof/SMON,SOF/SMONV750E-5.2.16, one (1) each Sof/Maintenance, SOF/VX-GCD-AMC-5, three (3) CAs, Cbl/J10J8J81m, two (2) each Doc, Doc/Man-VGM5-5.0, two (2) each Doc, Doc/Man-PU32-1.0D, two (2) each Doc, Doc/Man-PPCSMON-6.0, one (1) each Doc, Doc/CertOfConf, three (3) each SOF/VxWk/V7XCur, Code 6137, six (6) each CAs, CAs/Rj2D-8BM1m. The GIII aircraft will be using a smaller mirror image of the DC8 data system. Therefore, it is necessary to use the same VME boards as the DC8 for part interchangeability between both aircraft. Current flight is scheduled for June 2004. NASA/DFRC intends to purchase the items from Synergy Microsystems, 9605 Scranton Road, Suite 700, San Diego, California 92121. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 13. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on _____3/31/2004____________. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
