Bay Pines VA Healthcare System is conducting a market survey for qualified firms capable of providing the reagents and the instrumentation required by the Immunohistochemistry section of the Anatomic Pathology departments for the Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 8, VA Medical Centers (VAMCs) in Florida and Puerto Rico. All deparaffinization and antigen retrieval must be performed online on the instrument. The instrument must have the capability to incubate individual slides at different temperatures simultaneously in the same staining run. The instrument must be able to perform Immunohistochemistry (IHC)/In Situ Hybridization (ISH) and Hematoxylin and Eosin (H&E) on the same staining run. The instrument must be able to run paraffin embedded slides (1 protocol), non-paraffin embedded slides (total of 2 protocols), and slides using different type 1 cell conditioning (total of 3 protocols) and/or type 2 cell conditioning (total of 5 protocols) with and without enzyme digestion (total of 7 protocols) and enzyme digestion by itself (total of 8 protocols).
