The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center intends to negotiate a purchase order on a sole source basis to Seapoint Sensors, Inc. of Exeter, NH for two (2) each ocean-deployable miniSCF Chlorophyll Fluorometers. This requirement is being issued on a sole source basis as only Seapoint Sensors has the ability to provide this Fluorometer with the necessary combination of small size, (2.5� diameter x 6.6� length), light weight (2.2 lbs in air), low power draw (15mA at 8-20VDC), and depth capability (6000 meters) that will work on a Spray Glider as this specific unit used with the Spray Glider fits within the payload bay and meets the limitations in weight and power usage. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, all quotes received within six days (small purchase procedures are being used) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government for the purpose of determining whether or not to compete the requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
