THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The Department of Veterans' Affairs, James A. Haley Veteran's Hospital (JAHVH) located in Tampa, FL intends to solicit and negotiate a contract for Triturus Reagent and Consumable Items with Grifols on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The Reagent and consumables shall support the Grifols Triturus immunoassay system. The range of assays shall include Rubella IgG, Measles IgG, Mumps IgG, Syphillis IgG, Varicella IgG, Lyne, and Rheumatoid Factor. The contractor shall ship equipment FOB destination. The contractor shall install equipment according to industry specifications. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all information received by 3 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, 19 September 2008, will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
