FISCSD Seal Beach is seeking to identify commercially available and/or advanced development/near production-ready terahertz imaging and spectroscopy equipment that could potentially meet the needs of the Naval Facilities Engineering Center (NFESC), Port Hueneme, CA. NFESC is interested in identifying potential sources and gathering information on current capabilities within the market. This request for information is for planning purposes only and shall not be considered as an Invitation for Bid or Request for Proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of the submission of responses or the Government use thereof. Information provided may be used by NFESC in refining its requirements definition and developing its acquisition approach and schedules. Please provide the following types of information: (1) a des! cription of the terahertz imaging and spectroscopy equipment; (2) potential applications and set-up constraints; (3) cost, including unit, operating, warranty and maintenance; (4) technical specifications; (5) name and address of firm; (6) business size and socioeconomic classification; and any additional information such as product brochures, data sheets web sites (URLs), etc. Responses to this request for information should be submitted by 11 March 2005.
