The National Institutes of Health (NIH) Office of Research Services (ORS) has a requirement for a Tecnai G2 20 TWIN electron microscope system or equivalent. The system shall have the following: - LaB6 emitter (Denka/Mitsui) or equivalent. - Slow scan CCD imaging technique - TEM AutoAdjust - TEM AutoGun - Inspect3D Additional License - Tecnai T20 Installation Kit w/o plate camera - Tomography Data Acquisition - Cryo Box 120/200 kV - Cylinder of SF6 - Locally purchased Support PC Workstation - Low dose exposure technique and performance test This requirement is being issued in accordance with FAR Part 13.500, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The Government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with FEI Company for this requirement in accordance with 13.501. The Tecnai G2 20 TWIN electron microscope is the only system that contains all the features listed above. This is not a request for competitive proposals.
