The U.S. Army Research Development and Engineering Contracting Center, Edgewood Branch intends to solicit, negotiate and award a contract to Applied Biosystems, LLC, 850 Lincoln Centre Drive, Foster City, CA 94404-1128, to provide for the purchase of Taqman Universal PCR Master Mix. These items are mission critical reagent and consumables for the Applied Biosystems' (ABI) Sequence Detection System. Applied Biosystem is the only known source who can perform this effort within the required time frame. The proposed effort will be solicited on the basis of other than full and open competition pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement". The proposed effort will be procured in accordance with simplified acquisition procedures. The North American Industry Classification System Code is 334516 with $4.5 M dollars.
