Description: SUPERCRITICAL FLUID PUMP SFT-100 DUAL XW DESC: The U.S. Department of Energy’s National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL), Pittsburgh, PA intends to award a purchase order on a sole-source basis to Supercritical Fluid Technologies Inc, Newark, DE (SFT) to be delivered to out site in Albany, OR, to purchase the following: 1. SFT-100 Dual XW for operation with up to (2) 100 ml Sample Vessels in Series or Parallel: Complete, semi-automated SFE system includes heated adjustable micrometering restrictor valve and dual pistion pump for carbon dioxide delivery up to 24ml/min at 10,000 psi., Temperature range from ambient of 2000 degrees C. Includes integrated fluid pre-heater. Liquid CO2 connection tubing and spare vessel seal are provided – 1 each. 2. Co-Solvent Addition Module: Manual, Isocratic co-solvent pump allows the addition of solvent modifiers up to 8,000 psi, at 0.01 to 10.00 ml/min – 1 each. 3. Additional Tubing, Fittings, and tee’s: Used to operate the larger vessel offline for full core samples you have in your laboratory – 1 each. This request is considered to be sole source to the Supercritical Fluid Technologies Inc (SFT) because we must obtain a pump that will be interfaced with an identical pump that NETL already owns. Another SFT-100 pump has already been purchased for this project; this second pump will complete a system that can utilize all 4 reactor vessels simultaneously and will allow completion of tests planned on the project and meeting scheduled milestones. It must physically interface with the existing government equipment without modification that would void or limit the existing warrantee. All responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by this agency. Firms who want to challenge the sole source must submit an interest letter that demonstrates the firm’s ability to provide the services or work described above. Interested parties must provide rationale as to why they should be considered. Interested parties shall provide sufficient technical literature, documents, etc., in order for the Government evaluation team to make an adequate technical assessment of the quote as meeting technical acceptability. All interested firms must respond to DE-RQ26-07NT01186 by 05:30 P.M. EST, September 24, 2007. The North American Industrial Classification Code (NAIC) is 333996 .
