ACTION: Sole Source Announcement REQ #6-2090-0429 The U.S. Geological Survey, Center for Coastal and Watershed Studies Team, St. Petersburg, Florida, intends to award a sole source basis to Edge Tech, 4 Little Brook Road, West Wareham, MA. 02576-1222 for the following: Sub- Bottom Chirp System Model 3200 SB-512i with Dual channel Shallow Tow fish (300 m.) 0.5 - 12 kH z (0.5 - 12, 1-6, 1.5-7.5, 2-12 kHz Pulses), 1 Low, 1 high Frequency Transducers, Four Element Receiver Hydrophone Array, Fiberglass Tow Body with Lead Ballast Kit and Tow Bridle, Interconnecting Cables. This system compliments existing side scan and sub-bottom seismic systems and allows the USGS to move ahead with existing technology. It will enable the USGS to run concurrent cruises with these systems as well as give the added flexibility of very shallow water surveys. The Edge Tech SB512i is an integral part of the Edge Tech XStar system. There is no written solicitation for this requirement. The NAICS code is 334511.
