The US Army Contracting Agency at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ is conducting a market survey of industry to identify sources that are able to meet specific criteria for the acquisition of a Stress-Strain Microprobe. The purpose of the stress-strain microprobe is to perform non-destructive materials characterization in failure analyses and materials sorting. The machine must be mobile, able to perform in-situ testing of mechanical properties, non-destructive determination of yield strength, and fracture toughness via automated ball indentation.
