The USDA, Agricultural Research Service, Poisonous Plant Lab, Logan, Utah, intends to enter into a sole source contract with PerkinElmer, Shelton, Connecticut, for the purchase of an HPLC Speciation Kit to be used with a Government-owned PerkinElmer Elan 6000 System and is the only system for which PerkinElmer will maintain the existing warranty in place for the Elan 6000. This kit is an accessory for the Elan 6000 and includes all the necessary hardware, firmware, and software for speciation and is covered by patents and copyrights per the Elan 6000 and includes installation (damage by another manufacturer's system will result in the loss of the warranty). The Chromera Software is the only software that will support speciation for use with the the Elan 6000 and technical/phone support will not be extended to another manufacturer's system. *Provide Qualification Statement by Close of Business August 10, 2007, if interested in this procurement.
