This is a sources sought announcement to identify potential sources and gather information on current capabilities within the market. The Air Force Metrology Calibration Detachment is considering a purchase of Resistance Measurement Support. The anticipated quantity is one (1) each of Resistance Measurement Support. This support will include expansion of the automated measurement system. This system will extend current capability of the AFPSL resistance measurement system from 1 Gohm to 10 Gohms. This support will also include a new primary reference resistance standard and additional standards for proficiency testing. Description: This package is for hardware configuration update and software enhancement of the Measurements International (MI) Resistance Measurement System as currently in use by the Air Force Primary Standards Laboratory (AFPSL). This requirement is to expand the range beyond the current one Gohm upper limit, update hardware and software to operate with the existing hardware. This requires detailed knowledge of the AFPSLs current MI system. Offerors responding to this sources sought market research must (1) state whether they are a small or large business. (2) indicate if they are a small disadvantaged or woman-owned business, 8(a) firm, or a historically black college or university or minority institution (HBCU/MI), or a historically underutilized business zone (HUBZone) small business; (3) provide information concerning the technical capabilities of the product you are interested in offering, including commercial literature/brochures. (4) any other pertinent information which would enable the government to assess your firm's capabilities.
