U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) anticipates contracting with Helitune Inc., 4965 Cox Road, Glen Allen, VA 23060-6296 for RT-5JS+ Vibration Test Sets for the MH-47G helicopter sustainment or any other aircraft fielded for USSOCOM. The proposed action is for a commodity purchase for which the Government does not own specifications and drawings to permit full and open competition. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1. Firms that feel thay can provide these particular parts are encouraged to identify themselves. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposal, however, the Government will consider all proposals received by the specified due date (in accordance with FAR 5.203(a)). A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition is solely within the discretion of the Government. The estimated release date of the solication is 1 March 2006.
