This Notice of Intent is Subject to the Availability of funds. The U.S. Geological Survey, Earthquake Science Center, Menlo Park, CA intends to issue a non-competitive award to Kinemetrics Inc., Pasadena, CA. The requirement is the purchase of uniaxial accelerometers (some with singe supply option 4G and some with standard dual supply option 4G). Kinemetrics Inc. is the only known manufacturer that can provide uniaxial accelerometers (with singe supply option 4G and with standard dual supply option 4G) to the Government's specifications. This equipment will be used in the Advanced National Seismic System (ANSS) as part of the National Strong Motion Network for structural monitoring. These systems must be existing, upgraded, or improved versions of models which can be purchased ''off-the-shelf'' and of a type or types that have been utilized in previous deployments for periods of not less than six (6) months. Specifications for each force-balance type uniaxial accelerometers are given in Table 1 (attached). The sensors should be available with options for single and dual power supplies. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) Code is 334519 - Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing, size standards 1,000 employees. The USGS intends to make a non-competitive award to Kinemetrics Inc. The Government intends to award this requirement noncompetitively in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b) (2), FAR 13.5, and FAR 12. The anticipated contract will be firm fixed price award. A vendor must be registered at http://www.sam.gov to be awarded the contract. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Quotations shall only be accepted through electronic mail addressed to [email protected]. All documents required by this notice must be uploaded and received in their entirety no later than August 8, 2018 at 1700 ET. Quotations submitted by hardcopy or the Fed Connect web portal or Fed Connect Message Center shall not be accepted or considered.
