The Government intends to award a noncompetitive purchase order using commercial item acquisition procedures authorized by FAR Parts 12 and 13 for polygraph equipment to be used by the Government of Mexico for efforts relating to the Department's international narcotics and law enforcement program. The equipment required is the following, manufactured by Lafayette Instrument Company, intended to upgrade the existing equipment already in place in Mexico: 10 - LX-4000 Upgrade from LX-3000; 10 - LX-4000 Vital Parts Kit; 10 - Activity Sensor pad model 76878US; 15 - Pump Bulb Assembly model 76506LX; 30 - Standard Blood Pressure Cuff model 76530; 30 - GSR Finger Electrode model 76640DP; 15 - Pneuma Chest Assembly-Gold model 76513-1G; 15 - Pneuma Chest Assembly-Bronze model 17513-2B; 50 - Pinch clip model 76506-PC. This notice is not a request for competitive quotations; this acquisition will be processed using the authority in FAR 13.106-1(b). See note 22 with the exception that the time period for receipt of quotations for consideration is 15 days instead of 45 days. Solicitation is not available at this time. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to change the acquisition strategy.
