NASA/GSFC has a requirement for Periodically Poled MgO-doped Congruent LithiumNiobate.NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from HC Photomic Corp.. HC Photonics is theonly company which offers PP-MgO:CLN as a standard product that meets our requirement.The other unique specifications are 1mm thickness for high power application and angledfront pump surfaces to prevent optical feedback. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 5:30 p.m. local timeon 07/25/11. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose ofdetermining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis.
