This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
The U. S. Army Dosimetry Center (ADC) currently possesses accreditation by the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to provide dosimetry service using the Panasonic Thermoluminscent dosimeter (TLD) reader system Accreditation of the Army dosimetry program is manadatory due to Title 10, Code of federal Regulations. Federal regulations 10 CFR 20 and 29 CFR 10.10 state that any individual occupationally exposed to ionizing radiation be monitored with a dosimeter. Additionally, 10 CFR 20 requires that any individual who is occupationally exposed to NRC licensed material utilize an accredited service. The requested whole body TLD radiator systems utilize dosimeters and readers manufactured by Matsushita electric Industrial Co (Panasonic).
