The Department of Veterans Affairs, James J. Peters Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VISN 2 Down state), intends to award a short term, interim, sole-source, firm fixed price contract to Cepheid.
The Contract will be effective July 1, 2019 through September 30, 2019.
The acquisition sought is an interim that will cover 3 months of reagents, consumables, supplies needed to produce a cost-per-Test (CPT) and for the continued usage of contractor-owned equipment currently on-site at VISN 2 Down State Medical Centers.
VA personnel utilize the equipment and reagents to perform patient MRSA, C Diff, Influenza, Chlamydia, Carbapenemase, Trichomonas Vaginalis, and MRSA Blood. The NAICS is 325413 with a small business size standard of 1,250 employees.
The current contract with Cepheid will expire on June 30, 2019. This interim contractis required to continue to provide testing until the equipment included in the new, long-term Contract, which is in the process of being awarded, is fully implemented and functional.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation will be made available.
Any responses received no later than COB June 12, 2019 will be considered for the purposes of determining sources for future procurements. The Government will not pay for information submitted. Any information submitted in response to this notice of intent is strictly voluntary.
This will be the only notice of the Government's intent to solicit, negotiate, and award to one source to satisfy this requirement.
