This requirement is sole sourced to Ling Electronics, 63356 Nels Anderson Rd., Ste. 2, Bend OR 97701, based on the fact that Niton XLt is the only hand held spectrometer to offer the versatility of four distinct detection modes to allow for the fastest and most accurate detection method for a specific application. Any system other than the Niton XLt will not provide accurate comparison data for flight worthiness tests and may put fleet personnel at risk if unacceptable motor tubes are put into fleet use.
