This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solication will not be issued. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source. Interested persons may identify their intrest and capabilities to respond to this requirement and submit a quotation which will be considered by the Government. The Niton XLi/XLp portable XRF analyzer will be used by Superfund personnel to conduct screening characterizations for metals contaminated at Superfund sites. The instrument will be used to field analyze solid and sediment samples, either insitu or exsitu, to provide field investigators with analytical results to be used in characterizing the degree of contamination present at a site. The unit must be Americium-sourced. This is necessary to meet the condition that the unit does not have to be resourced on an annual basis. The provision FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, applies to this acquisition. The provision at FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items is applicable and the specific evaluation criteria are as follows: Technical capability, past performance and price. Offerors shall include a complete copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-31, Offerors Representations and Certification-Commercial Items, with their offer.
