The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) has a requirement to purchase an integrated Nd:Yag/OPO System with the following: Flashlamp-pumped ND:YAG Laser equipped to pump a tunable optical parametric oscillator generating > 30 mJ at 1550 nm and > 25 mJ at 1780 nm; computer control of Yag/OPO and Installation. The technical specifications will be attached to the Request for Quote (RFQ) package. All responsible vendors that are capable of providing the Government the equipment described above may request in writing or by FAX (301) 480-4226 the Request for Quote (RFQ) from the Contracting Office prior to the closing date of this notice. It is anticipated that RFQ NIH-NIDDK-02-811 will be available fifteen (15) days after the publication date of this synopsis. This Request for Quote will be issued on August 30, 2002. Receipt of quotations will be due ten (10) days after the release of the RFQ (September 9, 2002). That anticipated award date is September 13, 2002.
