All items will be provided by Gigaoptics GmbH BlarerstraBe 56 78462 Konstanz, Germany. The Government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Gigaoptics because they provide unique, specialized manufacturing capabilities that are tailored and clearly applicable to AIR 4.5.6 - EO/Special Missions with an anticipated award date of 3 April, 2006, and an estimated delivery date of 10 July, 2006 to NAVAIR-AD Patuxent River, MD. Items must be procured from Gigaoptics to ensure system compatibility and interoperability. Interested parties may submit a capabilities statement in which they identify their interest and capability. All capabilities statements received by 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, 31 March, 2006 e-mailed to [email protected], or faxed to (301) 757-9046 will be considered by the Government solely for the purpose of determining whether to initiate a competitive procurement. Technical capability will be determined solely on the content and merit of the information submitted in response to this provision. The Government reserves the right to process the procurement on a sole source basis for the brand specific item based upon the responses received.
