The U.S. Geological Survey, Fort Collins Science Center has a requirement for MiSeq System Integrated system. They system is for automated generation of DNA clonal clusters by bridge amplification, sequencing, primary and secondary analysis. System includes embedded touchscreen monitor and on-instrument computer, dual surface imaging capability, MiSeq Software Suite, installation kits and standards, installation and training, and 12 months warranty . Based on information available at this time, and in accordance with 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), implemented by FAR 6.302-1, the government considers the item specified as a sole source from Illumina Inc. and proposes to negotiate with that entity on that basis. However, should additional sources be identified, they will be considered. Firms who feel that they can furnish the required services are invited to submit in writing an affirmative response to this announcement, and such other materials which correspond to the required items stated herein. This information will be evaluated and used to determine if competitive opportunities exist. Affirmative response shall be received by this office by close of business September 7, 2012 by 3:00 PM Mountain Standard Time. This notice may represent the government's only official notice of this procurement.
