NASA Kennedy Space Center has a requirement for the following Campbell Scientificparts:1. Loggernet ADM Datalogger Support SW version 4.x (P/N LOGGERNETADM) - qty 1 each 2. Measurement & Control Module w/ CR1000WP (P/N CR1000-XT); tested to -55 to +85C* - qty3 each 3. Ethernet Interface & Compact Flash Module (P/N NL115-XT); tested to -40 to +85C* - qty3 each 4. SDM-SIO1 CSL 1-Channel I/O Module (P/N SDM-SIO1-XT); tested to -40 to +85C* - qty 10each 5. CS210 Enclosure Humidity Sensor (11-inch cable, P/N CS210) - qty 20 each 6. CH100 PTO 12V Charger/Regulator (P/N CH100) - qty 20 each 7. BP24 12V Sealed Rechargeable Battery (24Ahr, P/N BP24) - qty 20 each 8. Measurement/Control Module (P/N: CR1000-XT) - qty 18 each 9. Ethernet Interface/Compact Flash Mod (P/N: NL115-XT) - qty 18 eachPlease provide best delivery estimate. FOB Destination required. For line item 7, FAR 52.223-3 applies: 52.223-3 -- Hazardous Material Identification andMaterial Safety Data. NASA/KSC intends to purchase the items from Campbell Scientific for the following reason:Campbell Scientific is the sole manufacturer of the slow sampling dataloggers being usedfor the meteorological stations at Launch Complex 39B. Loggernet Admin software isinstalled in the computer to schedule data retrievals from dataloggers on the field. There have been a number of these units purchased in the past and there have beenextensive testing on this units with the Ethnernet interface compact flash module forextended local recording capabilities. Campbell Scientific sells a complete battery powersolution for meteorological data gathering (used already by KSC and the Eastern Range),which consists of a battery charger and battery. The units are uniquely compatible withequipment that has already been designed, prototyped, tested, and procured. NASA KSC isready to deploy the required items immediately.The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local timeon April 27, 2010. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for thepurpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.An Ombudsman has been appointed.
