NASA/GSFC has a requirement for a Laser Naples with warranty and installationincluded.NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the items from Passat Inc., pursuant to FAR 13.106, for theacquisition of supplies or services determined to be reasonably available from only onesource. Passat Inc. can provide a Q-switched, solid-state laser system that emits 266nmwavelength light at variable repetition rates up to 200Hz and with a minimalnanosecond-scale pulse width of ~1 ns and with a pulse energy of 270uJ. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local timeon February 8, 2011. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for thepurpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis.
