There is no solicitation. The United States Fish and Wildlife Service, Contracting and General Services Division in Portland, OR has plans to award using other than full and open competition to Applera Corporation of Foster City California for the following items: 1) GeneScan 500 LIZ Size Standard, 4322682; 2) Hi-Di Formamide, 4311320; 3) TaqMan Universal PCR Master Mix, 5 pack (5x5 ml), 4364340; 4) POP-4 Polymer for 3130/3130xl Genetic Analyzers, 4352755; 5) POP-4 Polymer for 3100/3100-Avant Geneetic Analyzers, 4316355; and 6) 3130xl/3100 Genetic Analyzer Capillary Array, 36 cm, 4315931. These required consumables and reagents are required to produce data that are compatible with data generated previously by Abernathy Fish Technology Center and with data generated in other USFWS genetics laboratories. Applied Biosystems is the sole vendor of the hardware (AB3100, AB3030xl, AB7500) that these consumables and reagents will be used with and is the sole provider of these consumables and reagents. . The Service intends to award Sole Source to Applera Corporation. This synopsis is a notice of intent to issue award using other than full and open competition and is not a request for competitive proposals. The determination of the Government not to open subject requirement to full and open competition was made IAW FAR 6.302-1.
