The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS), intends to negotiate solely with Controlled Environments Inc, Pembina, ND 58271, for installation of 4 Conviron Model GR96 Plant Growth Rooms to be procured from Controlled Environments Inc. on their GSA Schedule Number GS-25F-5046C. Non-GSA installation includes lighting system modifications, exhaust fan with washable filters in exhaust port, extended box length to 19?-3? exterior, and installation of all products. Warranty provided by Conviron is void if equipment is improperly installed. Companies with the demonstrated capability and financial capacity to properly install and warranty such equipment must submit a written substantive statement outlining the Company capabilities (including price lists) to the point of contact listed below by 4:30PM. on August 13, 2007. This is not a request for proposal. No solicitation is available. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement, upon receipt of responses to this notice, is solely at the discretion of the Government in accordance with FAR 13.106-1 (b). If no affirmative responses are received by August 13, 2007 at 4:30PM to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, an order will be placed with Controlled Environments Inc. under the authority of FAR 6.302.
