Under the authority of FAR 13.5, the U.S. Army RDECOM Contracting Center, Natick Contracting Division, Natick, MA intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order to Data Science International, Inc. of St Paul, MN, to manufacture implantable telemetry units that allow for monitoring of core physiological parameters in rodents (rats).

DSI is the only available supplier of this equipment. Additionally purchasing of the requested devices will allow standardized use of the same type of equipment already in house eliminating possible variance created with the introduction of a different brand of transmitters.

Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
