NASA/MSFC has a requirement for the purchase of ImaGen rackmount systems to be used in the integrated Avionics Test Facilities (IATF) under the Vehicle Integration project within the Space Launch Systems program (SLS). Marshall Space Flight Center will be purchasing the rackmount systems from Concurrent Computer Corporation (CCC). CCC's proprietary RedHawak Linux real-time operating system is the real-time operating system currently used in the various labs of the IATF.
The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.
Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications in writing to Betsy Ledbetter/ARCS at [email protected] or fax to 256-655-5028 no later than 4:30 p.m. local time on 06/09/2014. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
