This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine the following:
The interest and capability of Small Business, Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB), and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) to meet the requirements listed below;
Size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 334516 Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing for the proposed acquisition.
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 10 is seeking potential sources for automated Glycohemoglobin (HbA1c) analyzers and testing on a Cost Per Test (CPT)/Cost Per Reportable Result (CPRR) basis in accordance with the Statement of Work, for the Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center, 1500 Weiss Street, Saginaw, MI 49037. All items shall be new; refurbished/used items are not acceptable.
The Government anticipates entering into either an FSS Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) or open market Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for a period of one base year and four option years, depending on the results of market research.
The Aleda E. Lutz VAMC estimates the following quantity of HbA1c tests will be ordered per year:
Base Year: 28,000
Option Year 1: 29,400
Option Year 2: 30,870
Option Year 3: 32,413
Option Year 4: 34,034
