DESCRIPTION: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 13.5, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation number DE-RQ26-06NT00435 is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This requirement is being issued as a Request for Quotation using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The following items are to be purchased by the U.S. Department of Energy, National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL), Pittsburgh, PA. Award will be made to the low priced, technically acceptable (equal) offeror. The following items are to be purchased: Equality shall be determined by the offered equipment’s compliance with the following performance requirements. Compliance will be determined by the offeror’s provision of literature showing performance capabilities or through written narrative discussing the points not covered by the published literature. 1. Gerstel (or equal) Part Number 012701-090-02 – Gerstel Twister Desorption – Automation Bundle for Agilent 6890 – 1 each. 2. Gerstel (or equal) Part Number Gl 9999-02 – LN2 Adapter – 1 each. 3. Gerstel (or equal) Part Number Gl 9999-03 – MPS Start up kit – 1 each. 4. Gerstel (or equal) Part Number Gl2892-000-02 – Tube Conditioner – 1 each. 5. Gerstel (or equal) Part Number 014496-010-00 – Adapters that allow TDU tubes – 1 each. 6. Gerstel (or equal) Part Number Gl20239-001 – Tube Spiking Apparatus 110 VAC – 1 each. 7. Gerstel (or equal) Part Number GS1500-00 – 1 Day Install & Familiarization – 2 each. EVALUATION: The award will be made to the low priced, technically acceptable offer. An award shall be made to the responsible offeror submitting a technically acceptable quote and offering the lowest evaluated price. Evaluation is base on best value including cost and ability to meet stated requirements above. Offerors shall submit descriptive literature detailing features, technical capabilities and warranty data. Technical acceptability will be determined solely on the content and merit of the information submitted response to this provision as it compares to the minimum characteristics provided above. Therefore, it is essential that offerors provide sufficient technical literature, documentation, etc., in order for the Government evaluation team to make an adequate technical assessment of the quote as meeting technical acceptability. INTERESTED PARTIES SHALL SUBMIT OFFERS WITH THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION: Federal Tax Identification Number (TIN), Dun & Bradstreet Number (DUNS), and remit to address if different.
