This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.

This is a Request for Quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-27.

This is a Brand Name or Equal requirement for an Olympus Fluoresence Upgrade Kit, compatible with the Olympus VS120 Whole Slide Scanning System. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334516. This requirement will be for a purchase order to include delivery of equipment to occur within 30 days of contract award.

DESCRIPTION: The Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR), Silver Spring, MD, has a requirement for:

- Advanced VS120-FL ORCA Hardware Upgrade Kit w/software
- Installation and Training
The supplies recommended by the contractor will be evaluated in how they satisfy all of the Minimum Essential Characteristics (MEC's) provided in the RFQ Instructions. All quotations submitted with equivalent supplies shall provide a matrix that directly point back to all MEC's.

No hard copies of the solicitation will be issued by this contracting office. All interested parties can view, download and print a copy of the solicitation and any resulting amendments from the following website: https://www.fbo.gov/ . In accordance with DFARS 252.204-7004, all contractors wishing to do business with the Department of Defense must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/ . Proposals will be evaluated on the basis of lowest price technically acceptable and any resulting contract will be issued as a Firm Fixed Price Award.
