The USDA, Agricultural Research Service, intends to enter into a single source contract with Partec GmbH, Munster, Germany. This contract is to procure a Partec Ploidy Analyzer (PA-II). This flow cytometry system is specifically designed for plant genetics and ploidy research. A ploidy analyzer with mercury arc lamb light source for UV excitation as well as ion laser light source for use with propidium iodide is needed.
