The U.S. Army Contracting Command (ACC), Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), Natick Contracting Division (NCD), Natick, MA , on behalf of the Naval Health Research Center (NHRC), intends to negotiate and award a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis to BioFire Diagnostics, Inc. of Salt Lake City, UT in accordance with FAR subpart 13.5. The Government has a requirement for a quantity of eight (8) FilmArray Systems (Item No, FLM1-ASY-0008) and a quantity of one hundred (100) FilmArray Respiratory Panels, 30 pouches each (Item No. RFIT-ASY-0105) for infectious disease detection in an austere operating environment within two hours while requiring minimal technical manipulation and hands-on time for sample preparation. The following human respiratory viruses and bacterial pathogens in clinical samples must be analyzed by the system within the operating environments and time detailed above: Influenza A (subtype H1, H3, and pH1), Influenza B, Adenovirus, Parainfluenza Virus (1-4), Coronavirus (HKU1, NL63, 229E and OC43), human Metapneumovirus, and Enterovirus/rhinovirus, Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), Bordetella pertussis, Chlamydia pneumonia, and Mycoplasma pneumoniae.
