The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with CRAIC Technologies, 948 N. Amelia Ave., San Dimas, CA 91773 under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source. CRAIC Technologies shall provide a QDI 2010 microspectrophotometer, installation, qualification and training. The microspectrophotomer shall have a scientific grade microscope with UV-visible-NR range optics; 10x and 40x scientific grade microscope objectives; rotating stage; oculars for direct examinations of fibers; variable aperture window; Florescence capability and spectral analysis software. Based on extensive market research conducted with knowledgeable individuals in Government and the related industry, only CRAIC Technologies can provide the requested equipment. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotations, however interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement or submit quotes to this office by 2:00 PM, EST, Friday, February 22, 2008 by e-mail at [email protected]. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This contract will be awarded as a commercial item in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation, Parts 12 and 13.
