The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Caribbean Healthcare System, San Juan, Puerto Rico intends to negotiate a commercial (FAR Part 12) Small Business Sole Source contract with Beckman Coulter Puerto Rico, Inc. PMB 339 HC-01 Box 29030, Caguas PR 00725, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 Only one Responsible Source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Government anticipates that the program requirement will be fulfilled via a Firm Fixed Price contract in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 16.202. The VA Caribbean Healthcare System (VACHS) is requesting a cost per reportable test contract for an Automated FC500 Flow Cytometry Analysis with System II Software and coulter prep plus2 and a T - Q prep system from Beckman Coulter to be used routinely for flowcytometry studies/testing at the special hematology section. This instrument is intended for in vitro diagnostic use in the analysis of hemotolymphoid cells, and enumeration of immunologically defined cell populations by flow cytometry. Immunophentyping by flow cytometry is the gold standard for identification of leukemic cells and essential in diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of hematologic diseases. Beckman Coulter will provide: instrumentation, training, reagents, calibrators, controls, and the preventive maintenance, service and warranty for the equipment during the term of the agreement. Service must include: color reagents and/ or materials to include analyzer, all reagents, consumables, standards, controls and supplies for patient testing; disposables/ accessories to operate the analyzer; repairs and preventive maintenance service for one Coulter FC 500 with System II Software, Coulter Prep Plus 2 and T-Q Prep System and color printer.
