SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE The Army Contracting Agency, Northern Region; Dugway Proving Ground, Utah, Directorate of Contracting (hereinafter refered to as the Government) is seeking potential contractors that have the capability to undertake manuf acturing activities for a Cobalt 60 Gamma Irradiator with a cooling chamber cavity, an initial charge in the range of 25,000 curies, a center point dosage of 40 KGy in 90 minutes or less, and with a chamber capacity of approximately one (1) gallon. This i s not a solicitation announcement. No contract will be awarded from this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement. To assist in determining the aqcuisition approac h for a formal Request for Quote (RFQ) document to be issued at a later date, interested contractors are requested to state their socio-economic classification(s) (ie: large business, small business, small disadvantaged business, etc,) as it relates to No rth American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) 325188 (small business standard size of 1,000 employees). Qualified companies are encouraged to respond. Responses should provide pertinent details, experience, and current capabilitites related to the stated requirement so Government personnel can asses the ability of the company to contribute to the above stated program. Interested sources are also encouraged to submit product literature and/or catalog cut sheets to this Request for Information (RFI). Any submission of such product literature and/or cut sheets will be treated separate from, and will have no bearing on any subsequent evaluation of proposals submitted in response to any resulting future formal RFI.
