The U.S. Department of Agriculture proposes to sole source purchase a Chromatograph from Viscotek Corporation of Houston TX. The Chromatograph must comply with the following specifications. 1. Detect oligomers and polymers by refractive index, viscometry, UV, and light scattering with all detectors manufactured by the same supplier. 2. Provide molecular weight distributions on homo-and copolymers, absolute molecular weight data, intrinsic viscosity, hydrodynamic radius, and molecular size data. 3. Handle samples between temperature ranges of 25° to 90° C. 4. Provide hassle free operation (column and solvent changing and machine stabilization). 5. OmniSEC software, and data acquisition, analysis, and report preparation at one work station. The Chromatograph shall be installed delivery FOB to the USDA, ARS, SRRC, New Orleans, Louisiana. An IFB with complete specification requirements will be issued on or about December 29, 2004. These dates are tentative and will be specified in the IFB package.
